Our priority is the safety of our guests and staff. Camp will be fully cleaned and sanitized using CDC recommended disinfecting products.
Within your family or group, masks will not be required, but when social distancing is not possible with other guests and/or staff we will ask that everyone wears a face covering. We will have plenty of masks on site, so if you run out/lose them/forget them we’ve got you covered!
Most of the time you’ll be outside or in well ventilated buildings and at low risk of exposure, so you can enjoy some relaxation time at the lake!
Wherever possible, separate equipment will be distributed to each family for use throughout the session (e.g. balls, bats, life jackets, etc.). Use of personal equipment is encouraged and will be outlined on the packing list. If equipment is shared, we will be following New Hampshire cleaning and sanitizing guidelines in between use.
Families are urged to test for COVID-19 prior to arrival to camp. If you are unable to find a test near your home, you may opt for the Vault Health At-Home COVID-19 saliva test (www.vaulthealth.com).
Please note that while this is not required, it is highly recommended.
Families are asked to take daily temperature checks for 14 days prior to attending Winaukee and not attend if there are any known symptoms.
Our goal is to offer a needed respite from the world we have been living in for the last few months. In order to do that, we have an obligation to do our part in keeping our camp families and staff as safe as possible.
When it is not possible to social distance with non-family members we will ask you to wear a mask. Our staff will be following the same protocols.
The best news is that most of our programming is going to be outside and minimize the use for any face coverings!
All cabins will be cleaned and sanitized between sessions. Winaukee will supply cleaning supplies for each cabin. All equipment will be properly washed and sanitized between use, multiple times throughout the day, and between each session.
There will be scheduled day-time activities as well as open spaces for families to use. Every night there will be an evening activity and there will be some exciting special events throughout the session! Please note that activities and schedule are all subject to change based on the weather and the guidelines put forth by the State of New Hampshire.
All water activities will take place at our beautiful waterfront and be supervised by qualified lifeguards.
It is New England and it’s entirely possible to get all 4 seasons in one day! We have dedicated indoor space for children to play sports, arts & crafts, lots of board games and movies!
We are sorry to say that day campers and visitors are not allowed to visit for the day. We realize that this may be disappointing for those who are renting in the area or visiting family. Due to the nature of the COVID-19 situation and the safety of all our guests we are asked to limit visitors onsite.
Yes! The local area is filled with MANY attractions and the White Mountains of New Hampshire are beautiful! There is something for everyone from local art shows, to climbing (or driving up) Mount Washington to great local golf courses. After enrollment we will provide a full list of all local attractions directly to your inbox so you can plan your stay.
Yes. Families are welcome to bring their own selection of snacks, drinks and beverages. Please remember we are a nut free facility. Fees are $3,000 for 4-nights/5-days for single cabin/building rental up to and including 4 persons, and $300 per additional person over the age of 2. There is no charge for children ages 2 and under. Tuition for Family Camp is due upon enrollment. All fees are fully refundable until two weeks prior to session start date. All cancellations must be in writing.
If you are a current Winaukee family, you may apply 2020 camp tuition to this program. Should you have any questions about how this works just give us a call!
There are no “children-only” or “parent-only” activities. Children are the responsibility of the parent/guardian at camp.
Wake up and walk out to a gorgeous view of Lake Winnipesaukee! All our cabins include camp beds, sinks and toilet facilities. We have a separate shower house that sits directly behind our cabins. As with our campers, be sure to pack your pillows, twin sheets and towels! Packing list to follow enrollment.
Three meals per day and afternoon snack will be served three styles throughout: outdoor, in our Dining Hall, and boxed meals “to-go.” Families will be assigned tables inside the Dining Hall, or outside overlooking the lake on picnic tables in a way to allow for social distancing. Disposable plates, utensils, and cups will be used.
Winaukee will maintain a nut-free environment. Please advise us within the enrollment form of any food allergies and/or special dietary restrictions/requirements.
Yes of course! Let us know and we will make sure you are sitauted in the same part of camp.
